Granados y Campina, Enrique (1867-1916 Spain)
Pantaleon Enrique Costanzo Granados y Campina was a Spanish pianist and composer of classical music. He was born in Catalonia and studied the piano in Barcelona. His most famous work was the “Danzas espanolas”. At the age of 48, he took a ship from New York to England, which was torpedoed by a German U-boat, on the way across the English Channel, as part of the German unrestricted submarine warfare policy during World War I. His body was never found.
