Barrios, Agustin Mangore, (1885-1944 Paraguay)
Agustin Barrios was one of the greatest guitarists and composers of the first half of the 20th century. He was born in San Bautista de las Misiones, in Southern Paraguay. He began to play the guitar at an early age, since both his parents were very interested in culture and arts in general and his mother used to play the guitar. He began his first attempts on composing at the beginning of 20th century. For about twenty years after his death, his music was almost ignored and forgotten, but nowadays he is supposed to be a composer with great inspiration.
He died in 1944 after going into cardiac arrest.
